The Circular Product Data Protocol for Apparel
In order to capitalize on the product value and circular economy opportunities provided by Digital Identity, product data must be accessible via the physical product for the duration of its life cycle in a standardized, interoperable format.
Without a Protocol, we continue to be stuck in a linear, non-communicative, non-collaborative system in which access to information and data about products is limited and scalability of a circular economy is impossible. As the industry increases digital identification of products, and Policy mandates get closer, it’s important that companies work together to develop an open network of digitized, circular products.
